The Quebec Math System, Explained
Sec 3 is the year everything changes — and most families don't realize it until it's already happened. We help students understand the three math streams, choose the right one, and actually be ready for it.
Sec 1 & 2
Building the Foundation
These two years are about building the core: problem solving, algebra, geometry, and statistics. Getting this right keeps every future stream option open.
Sec 3
The Decision Year
At the end of Sec 3, students are placed into one of three math streams. This placement follows them through Sec 4 and 5 and shapes their CEGEP options.
CST
Cultural, Social & Technical — The practical stream for students heading into social sciences, arts, business, or trades. Rigorous in its own way — and we prep students thoroughly for every CST Sec 4 and Sec 5 exam.
TS
Technical & Scientific — The applied science stream for students heading into engineering, technology, or applied sciences. It demands precision and strong algebraic foundations — exactly what we build.
SN
Science Option — The theoretical stream for students aiming at pure sciences, medicine, or competitive CEGEP programs. The most demanding of the three — and where the right tutor makes the biggest difference.
